Cabins are very nice. Very clean. They have all the necessary appliances for cooking meals. Love the remodel to cabin 9. Turned the unusable garage area into an extra sitting room - which the 3 guys promptly turned into their fishing headquarters. Was nice as I didn't have to move tackle boxes, rod cases, reel cases, etc. out of the way to set the table for meals. Most have recently been remodeled. Owning a resort something always needs fixing or improving and they are staying on top of this.
It's been a family tradition for the last 3 year's we have stayed at TWL. Love the cabins, staff, lake (paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking,, swimming), and attractions recommend to any one who needs time away for what ever reason..
We wished we had more time! We wanted to take part in the guided hike to the waterfall......
Sunset cruises are great.
I highly recommend Timber Wolf Lodge! It's an awesome family campground.
Stayed in cabin 6, with room for 14. Rooms weren't large, but the common areas, including 2 living rooms and 2 decks were more than enough space for our group of 14 plus 2 dogs. Beach area had canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards for free use. Situated between Babbitt and Ely, a trip to town to pick up supplies or spend and afternoon is quick, and the cabin is equipped with a kitchen for easy cooking.
Relaxing & peaceful place. We love to explore the islands out on the lake & see all the beautiful nature. Nice place.
Beautiful beach loaded with almost every water toy you can imagine: floating tramp, kayaks,, paddle boards, canoes.... all free to guests! The beach has plenty of lawn chairs, water toys and even a hammock.
Pete and his staff were great!
Just got back from a weeks stay at Timber Wolf Lodge. The staff are amazing, always willing to stop what they're doing to help you out. When you pass them driving around the property in their golf carts always have a wave and huge smile for you.
Fishing was great, hubby caught several 18" & 19" Walleyes. So there is a fish fry in our future for sure.
Amazing time! My brother and his wife are renting a seasonal site this summer. We (3 women) enjoyed a 3 night stay as their guests.
We felt safe and literally had the best girls weekend!
New boats and motors even fish locators!
They provided an opportunity for us to actually fly in a 30 minute seaplane that started and ended right off the dock (per person fee). Incredible!
Pirate Pete leads a free pontoon sunset cruise each evening.. We loved it. The 23000 acre lake is breathtaking. Pirate Pete was fun and informative.
Floating picnic bench on lake is cool.
Love that they check on you each evening to see if there's anything you need. They're also very knowledgeable about places to go see or eat while you are up there.
Love it so much we're planning on coming back in 2018!
